1. Junior Training 2024/25


Training Dates 2024/2025:

  • Sunday 20th September - Sunday 15th December (No training on 27th October due to half term holiday)
  • Sunday 5th January - Sunday 13th April (No training on 16th February due to half term holiday)
  • Hertfordshire Hockey Festival dates are to be confirmed. There will be NO training on festival dates.

Location:

Training takes place at the 4G pitch at King James Academy, Garden Walk, Royston SG8 7JH. Please remember NO DOGS are allowed on the KJAR site.

Session time:

Sunday mornings:

10.00 am - 11.15 am - U8 (Years 2/3) U10 (Years 4/5) U12 (Years 6/7) U14 (Years 8/9)

Goal Keeping: Goal keeping training sessions will be run. Please let us know if this is something you are interested in.

U16 players are invited to attend senior training on Tuesday evening at Bassingbourn Village College.

Girls (led by Martine Powley) : Tuesday 7pm - 8.30pm (please arrive 6.50)
Boys (led by Josh Hughs and Jacob Gourd) : Tuesday 8.30pm – 10pm

Membership and Subscriptions:

The subscription for Junior players will remain at £85 for the 2024/25 season.

Kit:

All players should wear shin pads and mouth guards when playing (training and matches).

Footwear suitable for 4G pitches must be worn (moulded stud football boots or astro boots). Sorry, trainers are NOT allowed.

The password for the RHC shop is ‘RHC’

Kit colours will remain the same:

• White shirt (with RHC Logo)
• Black shorts/skort
• Black socks with white rings

You only need the RHC logo on the shirt, so other items can be bought elsewhere if you prefer.
