M3 took the good energy from the previous match at Southgate and started the fixture very strongly with good controlled and accurate passing, quickly establishing a 1-0 lead when James Watson converted at the far post. James Parsley and Mike Hill scored to make it 3-0 at half time, with a good few other chances missed.
Luton re-organised and went to a 5 man back line for the second half which worked well for them. Even so, Royston had many chances but converted none of them, and with the Luton 'keeper making many fine saves the game finished at 3-0.
A good win, that could have been better, but Royston played some excellent hockey and if that can be sustained then there are other good results out there.
