The recent run of injuries for Royston M3s continued with 3 senior players being unavailable. Nonetheless Royston fielded an energetic and ambitious squad.
Hertford started strongly and never relented. They had Royston under pressure from the off and kept that going throughout the game via a packed midfield that was very difficult to penetrate. Royston's passing was by and large accurate, but lacked the precision in the opposition 23 to put them under real pressure. 2-0 to Hertford at half time was representative of the run of play and chances created, and this repeated in the second half to lead to a 4-0 win for Hertford.
Both sides played with good spirit and respect for one another, and a mention must go to the Umpires who both had very good games.
