Injuries and absences are playing a growing part in Royston season, but M3 travelled to PB with hope of success. Through an odd quirk of coincidence, this was the 6th match of 9 where Royston were playing the team next to them in them in the league.
Royston competed well against a dynamic PB side in the first half and were the more composed side who created better chances one of which they converted to lead at half time. A second goal followed early in the second half, following which PB threw themselves at the game and scored from a short corner 10 minutes from the end. Thereafter it was frenetic defence from Royston who just couldn't clear the ball. The final whistle went upon the awarding of a short corner and PB hustled the ball across the line to equalise with the last touch of the game.
Frustrating from Royston's perspective, and the loss of those two points is disappointing, but it was not an unfair result and M3 need to work on improving their second half performance.
