Welwyn 1 XI (3) - (0) Royston M1 XI

In typical half term fashion, Royston found themselves heading into this weeks fixtures severely light in numbers. The club was decimated with injuries and absence and was not able to put out its strongest sides. Despite this, both the M2 and M3 were able to walk away with 6 points to share, a great consolation for the M1 who were sadly unable to compete in a fixture they will look to at the end of the season as 3 points lost.

Without injured Captain Hall and key players Josh Hughes, Miles Jackson and Jacob Gourd, The Crows lined up with players filling unfamiliar roles which ultimately resulted in a poor performance throughout. Despite some periods of positivity, The Crows were simply unable to find the goal that could have provided the catalyst to build upon. Sadly, it was not to be and Royston suffered their third defeat in four fixtures.

A write-off that could not have been avoided. Royston now look ahead at a more generous fixture list to hopefully close out the first half of the season in much finer form, onwards and upwards. COYC!
