At time of writing, I am tired. We played a team at hockey…. I think it was Cheshunt, but yeah, I can’t completely remember. Hold on. Let me check the website...*random key typing*… Yep Cheshunt. Good win it seems.

I vaguely remember Pete ‘die maschinenpistole’ Thomas throwing a rocket past the upstanding oppo goalkeeper from a short corner. We looked pretty good to be completely honest. Never rushed in the game and always, seemingly, in control.

Not to say that Cheshunt didn’t have chance, in the first half at least. I distinctly remember that lion of a returning goalkeeper, John ‘der große flexible Katzenmensch’ Gourd, making two reliable stick saves to keep the boys in it. Bread and butter work for the defence otherwise.

Uhhhh, halftime.

Right so, the second half was good. Hats off to the boys for showing the bare minimum quality needed to get over the line… probably. Here it all gets a bit hazy. Now I don’t want to say it wasn’t a wonder goal, as he moves slower than a snail with mobility issues, Josh ‘sich langsam bewegende waffe’ Hughes strike after beating two blokes was actually pretty good. That’s all the praise you’re going to get from me.

The third and final goal was a clinical masterclass from Mike ‘König des D, weil er es nie verlässt’ Welding. That nickname might be an unfair representation of how he plays but maybe that’s just a reflection on how ever-present he appears to be on the score sheet.
Well thanks buddy for reading this utter travesty of a match report. Next weeks one will probably be a laugh as, at time of writing, we are bare 11 away to Blueharts. Gonna be a tough one I presume, also I’m not planning on going on any trips midweek, so your media darling will be fresh to write…
