To my dearest reader,

Today I would like to offer my sincerest apologies. As you will no doubt be devastatingly aware, your regularly scheduled match report was not regular this week. In fact, in my own incompetence, I failed to prepare which, as we all know, means that I prepared to fail. Thus, I did not give myself enough time to complete last weeks match report against Letchworth. It is with a strong willingness to improve that I humbly ask for your forgiveness for this oversite. I will continue to endeavour to brighten your week by reporting on the very peak of athleticism here at the Royston Hockey Club. It is my pleasure to inform, nay, to recount the glorious tale of each and every Men’s 1st XI fixture and I look forward to your ever-increasing readership.

Please share these tales, immortalised in writing, with companions, friends and that one person that you vaguely know at work, but isn’t like your work bestie, but you have a laugh with. You know the one, quiet but chimes in every now and then in a conversation… where was I? Oh right yes… Once again, I ask for your unwavering forgiveness and magnanimous fortitude in continuing to digest the utter rubbish I spout from my mouth to my screen.
