Royston hit in 7 goals in a statement match on the race for the league title.

Where to begin? MotM was an easy vote winner this week, even though it was won under the false pretence of a hattrick. Toby ‘Troy’ London picks up the prize however, as he’s a child, we’ll have to put a picture of his dad on the weekly graphic instead… Soz.
Goals plentiful this week with Troy bagging 2, Carl ‘El Papel Fino’ Taylor also bagged a brace; as to be expected from such a prolific man-beast, Josh ‘El Capitán’ Hughes, Sam ‘Muy Caliente’ Miles and, not to be outdone, a herculean effort from Robert ‘El casa de Madera’ Woodhouse. The latter goal being the pick of the bunch with a driving run through the heart of the Cheshunt midfield from Woodhouse and with a perfectly unsliced, not at all mistimed or scuffed, strike into the not so quite near centre but enough to be saveable portion of the goal. It was, simply put, adequate.

With a very modest celebration Woodhouse had put to bed any notion of a Cheshunt comeback, even though they had struck early in the second half to open the game. Yes, this of all the goals was my favourite as it embodies, nay it personifies, the meaning of a one’s player. Grit, determination, and the ever so slight hint of a heavy night out in the week (I’m only speculating here but I’m probably right).

The game felt like another step on the ladder to promotion and potential title glory. Even with a DotD performance from a man who was called out for his slowness and ruled out Riga for a night out. Is it too soon to say that we’re on a push for the title? Perhaps, but I’d place a strong bet on this Royston side clinching more games with such ferocious goal scoring ability.

And I’ve had to get all this proofread, because, as we all know, keepers can’t read ?

Lyndon didn’t score.
