With good support from the club in view of player availability issues Royston M3 travelled to London with hope of a positive result given their good recent play. The game started brightly for Royston with good ball and player movement creating many chances. James Parsley in particular tried valiantly to connect with direct balls into the D and with a little more luck might have seen a couple of goals result from attempted deflections. Alex Causton got Royston ahead with a well-directed shot from the top of the D inside the near post, and Royston were 2-0 up by half time when James Parsley succeeded with a goal.
The second half was not quite so efficient, but 3 further goals counter-acted the 3 scored by WH&E (who, to their credit, kept pushing throughout) and so a 5-3 scoreline resulted. It was slightly complimentary to WH&E, but Royston could have no complaints and so a very valuable 3 points were gained.
