A fantastic season last year saw the Ladies first team win the 5 counties Premier league and gain promotion to Divison 2 in the Womens East league. They finished with 16 league
wins from 18 games, showing great resolve to overcome a very strong challenge
from Bedford. This season they will aim to establish themselves in the new
league so that they can hopefully push for promotion in future seasons.
Ladies 2nd XI
Last year was a re-building season due to a number of senior player retiring or
off long term injured. We now have a good balance of experienced players and
youngsters. The team played well all season, but didn’t go onto win enough
games and were unfortunately relegated to Division 3 of the 5 counties. The
target is to try and return to Division 2

Ladies 3rd XI
Last Season the Ladies 3s had their best season for a while,
winning 5 of their league games and were competitive in most of the matches.
Perhaps, more importantly they not only played some good hockey but they enjoyed
their games. This season they hope to continue the improvement of last season
and start to challenge for promotion.
Ladies 4th XI
For the first time in more years than we can remember we have launched a new Ladies 4's made up of new players from our back to hockey sessions, some juniors who cannot play every weekend and a mixture of senior players from the higher squads to hold it all together. The objective is to play some good hockey and enjoy the games. This is a classic example of how well Royston is doing with its overall development agenda and growth.
