We are just totting up the raffle income and can confirmthat we made a very impressive £402.50 on the night and then a further £300 from the squares board, which is brilliant! You may not have heard but a bid of £83 won the spray tanning raffle prize donated by Charli Smith.....the issue I have is that everyone dipped into their pockets on the understanding that I have the spray tan done and the pictures are put on the web site...................watch this space....

We must also thank the Staff at Minstrel Hall and all those who donated prizes, especially local businesses. So if you are in Chapter 5, Anderson Hair dressers, Emailmum, Rasa Sayang, Sports Kit, Tesco or the Smith household, please take 5 seconds just to say thanks to them, it shows that we appreciate theirefforts.

The AGM is coming up soon, so when we confirm the date, please make every effort to attend. It’s your club and we need your support.

Right, I am off for a small break (after the AGM) before we start planning for next year.

Have a great summer.

25 Nov 2010 : RHC Boys selected to attend the Cambs Junior Academy Centre. Congratulations to Josh and Bailey on their recent selection to the County squad.....
Two of our junior players have been selected to attend the Cambs Junior Academy Centre (JAC) this year. Congratulations to Josh and Bailey on their selection to the county squad.

This is a particularly strong boys age group in the Cambs county system, making their selection even more of an achievement.

They will now attend several JAC training days in the new year, in preparation for the county tournament games that follow. Good luck, and work hard!

21 Aug 2010 : New start times for the home games - 10h45, 12h15, 14h00 and 15h30......
Please note the start times for the home games for this season have changed to: 10h45, 12h15, 14h00 and 15h30 for Bassingbourn, and 14h30 at Meriadian.

27 Oct 2009 : The mixed training format to continue this year, Men's and Ladies will be combined on the two evenings........
The committee and coaching team have agreed that we will be keeping the same format of the club training for this year.

The Men's 1st, 2nd XI and Ladies 1st XI will train on a Tuesday evening, and the Men's 3rd, 4th, 5th XI and Ladies 2nd and 3rd XI will train on the Wednesday evening. The times remain the same 19h30 sharp through to 21h30.

The change provides a more focussed approach for the coaching delivery to both groups. For the Tuesday session we will work on more advanced technical / tactical elements of the game, whilst for the Wednesday group looks more at the development of the core skills and technical aspects required to play the game combined with a suitable tactical component building on from there.

This proved to work well last year with improved player ability at all levels within the club, but we can only continue to do this through your input and regular attendance at training, so please make every effort to get to the relevant sessions. We would also welcome your feedback on the sessions, good or bad.

07 Sep 2009 : Mel Harding again selected to play for the Bury Tigers (JRPC) Squad in the Tier1 Cluster Competitions..........
Mel Harding has again been selected for the Bury Tigers (JRPC) squad to play in the East Region Tier1 Cluster Competitions at Old Loughtonians. They play a series of games against Tonbridge and Northwood Tigers, aiming to gain selection for the East Saxon Tigers side to play in the Nationals later in the year.
